Don't miss out on our popular curry sauce, perfect for a satisfying dinner!Customers rave about the quality of fish and chips, often referring to them as the best they've had in a long time. The batter is light and crisp, perfectly complementing the fish. The curry sauce is another favorite, enhancing the flavor further. Portions are generous, especially the battered haggis, which many note is enough to feed a small family. Friendly and attentive staff contribute to a warm dining experience, making regular patrons feel welcomed every time. For those waiting on night ferries, the convenience of the takeaway service is a major plus, further solidifying its reputation as a local favorite.
Some visitors mention wait times can be longer than expected, particularly during busy hours, especially when special orders are made. Though the quality justifies the wait, it can be frustrating for those in a hurry. A few customers have noted that on particularly bustling nights, certain menu items may run out, leading to disappointment. There have also been mentions of pricing for some unique dishes, such as the battered haggis, appearing higher than expected at first glance, although patrons later agree the portion size makes it worth the cost. Noise levels can increase during peak times, affecting the overall dining comfort. Coupled with COVID-19 safety protocols, some found the process slightly inconvenient, though it is understood that safety comes first.
Excellent fish and chips, curry sauce wonderful and the battered haggis was enough for 4. Staff friendly and welcoming. If you are waiting on a night ferry it’s a MUST visit. Highly recommend
This was the best fish and chips I've had for a long while. Really tasty fish and all freshly cooked. We always visit when going to the night ferry.

I Hope This Is Helpful !!
Great chippy, one of the few places down south where you can get battered haggis. Initially thought the price of £4 was pricey, but it was enormous. With chips too, it took 20 minutes, understandable as it was a special order. Though things were taking longer than usual for most, due to the protocols for Covid. They adopted a very much 'safety first' approach and though it was a bit of a faff having to wait outside, it was proably for the best. Shame I live 100 miles away, as it was great.
Best fish bar in the city. Best quality best menu. Highly recommended.
